Investing into the future...

Domi Preaching.JPG Last week, Dominika Ovariova (Domi) preached at our weekly youth meeting... She spoke openly and powerfully about how God had helped her through many difficult situations in her own life. At the end of the meeting, Janka, who has been coming since our outreach in January, decided to follow Jesus.

Domi comes from a very difficult and violent home life. She started to attend the church in Nové Zámky when she was 10 years old and would try and avoid home as much as possible. However, it was here that she discovered a deep love for God. When we moved to Slovakia Domi was just 14 and had already proved herself to be a faithful servant in the church.

When we received a vision to start this church in the neighbouring city of Šaľa, Domi, and a young man called Lukas Fulop, were the first members of our church planting team. Domi has been a very important part of this team, faithfully serving in almost every area of the church. She is a very talented young lady who has a clear calling upon her life. When we came she couldn't speak any English, but in just a few years she has become a very proficient translator.

Domi, now 18 years old, has been given the opportunity to study at a Bible school in Canada, in order that she can develop her ministry and then put it into practice in Slovakia. The president of the school has acknowledged Domi's potential enough for her to be offered the place at the school and a scholarship covering her study fees.

We believe that this is right for Domi and that it is an investment into the future. We believe that Domi will have a significant ministry here in Slovakia. This is why we are going to be supporting her personally and as a church. This will help to pay for her air flight and similar expenses. We still need to raise another 850 euros. If any of you would also like to invest into her then we would love to hear from you.
